New Zealand  is a land of enchantment.  Pristine vistas, friendly people and a truly awesome visual journey!

Moscow -- A historical city, a city of culture, a formidable city ---  "ochun preekracznya"  (Got a chance to practice the Russian I learned in the U.S.A.F.)

I was fortunate to spend a summer in Gothenburg, Sweden, at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital on a research project.  Beautiful city, Northern lights, interesting food and gorgeous people.

Costa Rica is a happy place, nice weather, nice scenery, great people.  Go, if you get the chance!

My Tour DaVita (2017) bike ride was a great experience and a concrete way for me to come to grips with my end-stage-renal disease.   Life is to be lived!

London Olympics in 2012.  What a great way to spend a week's vacation in summer!

The Netherlands.  I had the good fortune to live there for six years, while in the USAF.  Here are some memories of one of the cleanest, friendliest, most industrious and beautiful countries in Europe!

"The City of Light"; Paris, a beautiful city.  Full of culture, history and the potential for romance!

The Kamchatka peninsula on Russia's east coast, is one of the most furiously volcanic places on earth.  Stark contrasts between beauty and terror-inspiring but endlessly fascinating.

Copenhagen rivals Amsterdam as Europe's most laid-back city.  The people are very friendly and love showing off their city.  From the mermaid in the harbor to a whirl around Tivoli Gardens, a city you can easily love!!

I am proud of spending 10 years in USAF

China --A land of contrasts, mysteries, and a myriad of people

"Summer" trip from New Zealand to  Antarctica.  Strangely beautiful but desolate.  You have to be a dedicated researcher to want to spend any length of time living there....

 "Blackbird singing in the dead of night... take these shrunken eyes and learn to see... all your life... you were only waiting for this moment to be free..." ---Beatles     The Vietnam Veterans Memorial  brings home the sad lament that "Freedom is Never Free!' 

The National Parks are such an inspiration.  Some memories of the ones that I was fortunate enough to visit 

Tour DaVita (2018) bike ride was again a singular experience and a way for me to thumb my nose at end-stage-renal disease.   The Virginia countryside was superb!

I take great pride in my American Indian heritage.  My father was Seminole/Chickasaw.  Here is a small taste of the culture of some original Americans
